TOKYO, JAPAN

The weigh-in ceremony for tomorrowfs WBA world title tripleheader took place on Tuesday here in Tokyo, Japan, where all the contestants finally made weight.

The result of the weigh-in is as follows:

WBA 130-pound title bout

Takashi Uchiyama (Japan) 129.75

Jezreel Corrales (Panama) 130

WBA 115-pound title bout

Kohei Kono (Japan) 115

Only the Panamanian Corrales, WBA interim titlist, tipped the beam at 131, a pound over the super-feather limit at his first trip to the scale, but he rushed to a sauna bath and managed to make the class limit of 130 in two hours after the first weigh-in.

Corrales said without hesitation, gUsually I made weight at 4 pm in Panama, but the weigh-in here was at 1 pm. I believed I could make weight even after the first failure.h He seemed to be very optimistic.

This show will be presented by Watanabe Promotions.
