OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST MURATA TO FIGHT IN HONG KONG

TOKYO, JAPAN

2012 Olympic gold medalist in the middleweight category, WBC#5/IBF#4/WBO#7/WBA#10 Ryota Murata (9-0, 6 KOs), will participate in his tenth professional bout against Brazilian Felipe Santos Pedroso (13-1, 11 KOs) over ten rounds in Hong Kong on May 14. Teiken Promotions announced it on Thursday, and also disclosed that Murata would appear in Los Angles in July. Having improved steadily, Murata, a 30-year-old six footer, is gunning for a world title shot in the near future.
