July 26, 2014

TOKYO, JAPAN

WBC female flyweight champ Go Shindo (14-2, 9 KOs) renounced her belt just a day before the WBC purse bidding between Shindo and official challenger Arely Mucino of Mexico on Friday. Her manager/promoter Tetsuya Harada of Kuratoki Promotions submitted the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) a written relinquishment of the championship because of Shindofs physical and mental unfitness to participate in the mandatory defense. The JBC accordingly announced its receipt of the said renunciation to our mass media, which reported it big here. The vacant WBC belt will be disputed by Arely Mucino and another to be designated by the WBC soon.
