Once conqueror of Mexican queen Mariana Juarez via first round knockout last April, ex-WBC international champ Riyo Togo (11-5-1, 9 KOs), 118, regained the OPBF (Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation) female bantamweight belt as she was awarded a well-received technical decision (all 49-47) over defending titlist Kimika Miyoshi (8-7-1, 3 KOs), 117.5, by a technical decision at 0:32 of the fifth session on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan.

Do you know how many times grudge rivals Jack Britton and Ted Kid Lewis fought mostly in 1910fs. No less than twenty times with Britton winning four to three for Lewis with a draw and twelve no decisions. They might be tired of facing each other. Like that, Togo and Miyoshi faced for the fifth time with the former winning two to one for Miyoshi with a draw.

Togo, a female driver of a gigantic dump truck with a ring tattooed on the left arm, forfeited her OPBF 118-pound belt via split duke last February, and then flew to Mexico to demolish ex-WBC flyweight ruler Mariana Juarez in the first round. It was true that there were hot disputes on Togofs gloves having been manipulated or not. Quien sabe? They faced again in a sensational revancha (rematch) in Mexico with Juarez emerging victorious on points after hard-fought rounds this July.

Itfs time for Togo to regain her OPBF throne. The 38-year-old tough girl started fireworks from the start, battering Miyoshi, 29, from all angles to take the initiative clearly. Miyoshi fought back hard in round two, but it was Togo that was in command in rounds three and four. An accidental butt opened a bad gash on Miyoshifs left eyebrow midway in the fourth, and the cut became worsened so seriously that the referee had it examined by the ring physician and then called a halt to take a technical decision. Obviously Togo was the victor and she regained her OPBF belt. Togo said, gMariana and I shared a victory in two encounters, and I hope to face her for the third time to decide which is ultimately stronger.h

Mariana and Riyo, you may fight twenty times to decide the eventual winner like Britton and Lewis.
